The Culture conundrum

I've been having some interesting conversations recently about motivation and culture. Although two different topics, they are closely linked. Both really stem from having a strong vision for the business. This should be shared with the whole company, if people feel part of a growing business and can be excited in joining the journey, you have a much better chance of building and keeping a motivated team. I have talked before about my "Tips from the bible of motivation", but vision is the most important. This leads me on to the Culture conundrum! The thing you have to remember is, Culture is insidious and it's like a vacuum, it will find it's own level and take over a company. If you do not create the Culture that you want, one will form which you will have no control over. That's a bad place to be.
